BUILDRITE RAISES THE BAR HIGHER WITH THE LAUNCH OF 8 INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS AT WORLDBEX 2023

Buildrite Booth Ribbon Cutiing

Buildrite Construction Chemicals, one of the leading construction chemical innovators in the Philippines, launches new products during the opening day of The Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition (WorldBEX) on March 16 – 19, 2023, at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

Founder and CEO of Buildrite, Derrick A. Tan, expressed his excitement as he introduced their new products to the people. He also thanked their customers for giving valuable insights that allowed them to create such products.

CEO Speech

“Your feedback is liquid gold to us, which is why Buildrite always listens to its customers. These products are the culmination of the insights — your experiences, concerns, and requirements — we have gotten from you through the years,” he explained.

The main highlight of Buildrite’s Booth was their Innovation Hub, which features the company’s new innovative products, including:

Buildrite New Products

The launching ceremony was graced by the presence of Inventor Ronald P. Pagsanghan, National President of the Filipino Inventors Society, and Mr. William Chua, Vice President of Operations.

In a brief speech, The Filipino Inventors Society President said there’s a high demand for innovative construction materials, particularly among young inventors. He explained that most inventors are shifting to the construction industry because of its continuous technological advancements.

“Kitang kita natin na napakalaki ng puwang ng mga produktong ito sa construction industry. At ang mga ito ay gawang Pilipino, inobasyong Pilipino,” he said.

Inventor Ronald also expressed his admiration to his fellow inventor Derrick Tan and his team’s dedication to driving innovation in the Philippine construction industry. He then invited Buildrite’s CEO to give a talk at one of their events to inspire young inventors, especially students, to create more innovations for the betterment of the country.

“Congratulations, Buildrite! Please continue to innovate… Keep up the good work, Mr. Derrick Tan, and may you continue being an inspiration to our youths,” he concluded.

This is Buildrite’s first time joining WorldBEX, but the company has been an active exhibitor in various construction events over the years. Last year, Buildrite and Sinclair Paints joined the PhilConstruct Expo and launched SmartBond Flex and Readycrete while simultaneously re-launching Sinclair: The New Generation Paint.

Buildrite and Sinclair Paints are also active participants in international training, seminars, and expos, which allowed them to gain insights into advanced technologies in construction chemicals.

Since the launch of their Magtanong Para Sigurado campaign in 2018, the first and original online campaign that teaches the right construction chemical products and methodologies online, Buildrite has been dubbed one of the best innovators in construction chemical technology in the Philippines.

According to CEO Tan, all their efforts center around their essence as a company, to help and teach people about the right construction chemical products and methodologies for specific requirements. Furthermore, the company envisions bringing about a future where the country is already on par with international standards.

This is why Buildrite is fast-tracking industry standardization by raising the bar to new heights.

Cebu Pacific, Singapore Tourism Board renew partnership to fly every Juan to Singapore

Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, has strengthened its partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to help travelers reimagine the Lion City and visit Singapore.
CEB and STB previously signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in April 2022 to mark the reopening of Singapore’s borders. With the successes of the past year, both parties today renewed the MOU to intensify their collaboration to promote travel to Singapore, which is one of the top-of-mind destinations for visitors from the Philippines. Key projects in this 2023 MOU will include joint marketing and promotions, and joint business development in the areas of fly-cruise and meetings and incentive corporate groups.
“We are delighted to renew our partnership with Cebu Pacific, which contributed greatly to Singapore’s strong tourism numbers for 2022,” said Ms. Juliana Kua, Assistant Chief Executive for International Group, Singapore Tourism Board (STB). “Philippines is a key market for Singapore, and the attractive promotions from Cebu Pacific will be complemented by STB’s ‘SingapoRewards’ programme, which offers a free experience for every eligible tourist to Singapore.

CEB provides strong connectivity to Singapore as it currently flies from Manila, Cebu, Davao, and starting in April, from Clark, Pampanga.
“We value this partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board. With recovery in place and our growth plans set in motion, our main goal now is to fly every Juan to exciting destination such as Singapore and enjoy all the offering in this beautiful destination that we missed doing during the pandemic,” said Candice Iyog, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer of Cebu Pacific.
CEB currently flies thrice daily between Manila and Singapore, providing passengers easy access to the Lion City, to experience its famous culinary scene, see its scenic spots, engage in thrill-seeking activities, or go shopping.
Passengers from the Visayas may also conveniently reach Singapore through Cebu Pacific’s daily flights from Mactan Cebu International Airport.
CEB will also increase its Singapore flights from Davao up to 4x weekly starting on March 26, 2023.
Travelers from Northern Luzon will also have a new gateway as CEB starts its daily Clark – Singapore flight on April 28, 2023.

May your BER Months Be Merry and Bright with Greenfield District’s Christmas Activities

12 days of Christmas are no doubt too short for Filipinos. In the Philippines, Christmas festivities begin in September. The BER months (September, October, November, and December) make up a long, jolly season of reunions, Christmas parties, gift shopping, Christmas traditions, and family bonding. It’s the most wonderful time of the year when families and friends gather to enjoy various recreational activities while cherishing each other’s company.

This holiday season, Greenfield Development Corporation (GDC) invites Filipinos to experience the joy of the BER months at the Greenfield District in Mandaluyong. Known for its green open spaces, pedestrian-oriented neighbourhood, and fun outdoor activities, Greenfield District is an ideal destination for holiday bonding. Accessible to the public through various routes and roadways from the main business districts of Metro Manila, this bustling community’s advantageous location makes it a convenient venue for a food trip with friends, reunion with relatives, holiday dinner with workmates, or holiday gift shopping.

Enjoy early Christmas shopping at the bazaars. Get to meet Santa Claus and receive some exciting giveaways.

Another great bonding idea for the whole family this holiday season is the Family Day organized by the Rotary Club of Greenfield District. The event will be held on November 26 at the Central Park. As part of its fundraising and public service programs, the Rotary will hold fun family activities including pet shows, raffle, contests, fashion show, food bazaar, and more.

Sinag Schools program powers up school in Batangas

SM Supermalls employee volunteers led the distribution of donations from SM Foundation to the students of Lemery Pilot Elementary School.

SM Foundation (SMFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of the SM group, together with Maxeon Solar Technologies, recently powered up the Lemery Pilot Elementary School (LPES) in Batangas through the Sinag Schools program.

This social good collaboration between SMFI and Maxeon aims to provide clean and renewable energy to schools in grassroot communities by installing solar panels on an SM school building, especially to those that have low operating expenses.

In addition to the solar panel installation which intends to power positive change in the way energy is consumed in public schools, the program also aims to enhance the understanding of students in terms of energy management and the need to transition to cleaner energy alternatives with lower environmental impacts.

“Through this program, we want to power up the learning and development of young people. We want to help teach young people about solar energy, about renewable energy. We want to power up the next generation to help save our planet,” Maxeon Fab4 General Manager Glenn Everett said.

The SM school building at the LPES, which was donated by SMFI in partnership with SM Prime Holdings (SMPH) in 2017, now boasts 21 solar panels—estimated to produce 6510 watt-p. With the savings on electricity, the school may realign their budget to more efforts and other innovations that will give the students an environment more conducive to learning.

It takes a village to raise a child
SMFI executive director Debbie Sy underscored the importance of collective efforts in advancing the learning experience of every student in the country: “We believe that collaboration can drive growth and become a force for good in addressing societal challenges. CSR partnerships can create solutions that improve society by fostering learning, promoting innovation and gaining access to new technologies, such as the Sinag schools program. CSR collaboration can pool resources, both financial and human resources – between multiple organizations which can amplify social good impact.”

“The establishment of an ever-evolving CSR strategy and partnerships will help companies and non-government organizations in developing and implementing crucial social good programs over decades while having procedures in place that integrate social and environmental priorities into CSR core strategy – all in close collaboration with stakeholders,” she further added.
Moreover, Everett mentioned how SMFI and Maxeon share the similar set of values and interest when it comes to helping Filipino learners: “We have this concept of powering positive change in the world. We are happy to be working together with SM Foundation to power up the Lemery Pilot Elementary School.”

“Individually, we can do so much. But together we can do actually more. For us to bring our solar technology and SMFI to bring in their schools, these things are much better together than they would be apart,” he concluded.

Spreading social good all the way
SM Foundation made sure to truly touch the lives of the learners and teachers of LPES as it donated eight desktop computers, 200 bags with school supplies, and more than 160 pcs brand new kinder and elementary books to further promote the love for reading among the students. Clothing items for parents were also distributed.
