The Beneficiary
St. Rita Orphanage is located in Paranaque City. It was originally known as HOME OF CHILDREN, has its beginning when the late Mother Carmen Alba, A.R., Superior general of the Congregation of the Augustinian Recollect sisters, conceived the idea of putting up a home for the less fortunate children: the orphans, abandoned and neglected children— that they be given their basic need (food, clothing, shelter) as well as proper guidance and sufficient preparation for a better future in life.

Saint Rita Orphanage envisions the total development of the less fortunate/abandoned children that they become God- fearing and responsible members of the Church and the country.

The Congregation of the Augustinian Recollect Sisters takes care of the children in the orphanage as one of its apostolic works. They continue to respond to the needs of the Church and the country within the limits of its capacity and according to its resources.

The Orphanage, aside from donations, mainly gets their resources from the school (St. Rita College). The school closed in 2010 due to losses suffered since the 90’s.

Currently, the orphanage houses 25 abandoned kids (15 infants and 10 toddlers). There are also 3 children who needs special care (2 with Cerebral Palsy and 1 with Hydrocephalus), these kids are undergoing therapy twice a week and are very costly. Aside from the therapy expense they are also shouldering the salary of their staff (Caregivers, Security Guard, Maintenance, etc.).

The Orphanage really needs our help. These kids need our help. Please help us, help them.
