I am always a look-out for meaty dish once a week and very glad that my wife would make it a point to cook for us to satisfy our gusto.
Even she is a vegetarian, still, she make it a point to serve us hearty meal just to make the family happy.
When we were invited for a cook-off demo of Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), I was the one who encourage my wife more. I want to see what would be the other dishes I can suggest to wife during our dining bonding.
With Mr. Peter Paul Perez, MLA’s Country Manager to the Philippines and Vietnam who launched the consumer-based program Let’s Meat Up.
To do this, MLA teamed up with Filipino food proponent & entrepreneur, culinary teacher and the creative force behind the blog Skip to Malou, Ms. Malou Perez-Nievera on developing recipes of Aussie beef and lamb that are healthy, delicious and easy to do.
She engaged the crowd by sharing five (5) of her original recipes.
These are:
• Australian Beef Sirloin with Hoisin and Fish Sauce Reduction
• Mango Tango Australian Beef Tenderloin
• Australian Beef Wrapped Shrimp on Chili Gravy
• Sesame Meatballs
• Breakfast Tapa Burrito
Bonus part: Even we were full, I cannot resist to still grab this Lamb Steak.
Overall, I love all I tasted. I just have to savor all the dishes and take a bite to each meal for me to relinquish its goodness notwithstanding that I have to also reserve more spaces to my stomach. Truly, there is nothing daunting when it comes to cooking True Aussie Beef.
With Ms. Malou who taught us practical tips in cooking these intimidating dishes with beef and lamb, my wife would surely embrace more the love of cooking especially the combination of seafood and fruits in a meal. Moreso, family dining would be memorable bonding time for a great meal to share.
As of now, I am already anticipating another meat-up with MLA for another sumptuous Aussie beef and lamb dishes to look for.
