Pizza Hut Philippines showcases customer service excellence at 2015 YRI! Regional Champs Challenge

Popular pizza restaurant chain bags 8 out of 9 awards at annual competition

The Philippines’ leading pizza brand Pizza Hut has reaped 8 out of 9 awards at the 2015 Yum! Restaurants Inc. (YRI!) Regional Champs Challenge (RCC) hosted recently at the Ali Mall branch of Pizza Hut in Araneta Center, Quezon City. The RCC is an annual event organized by YRI!. to enhance the development of team members’ skills, with focus on fostering executional operations excellence and exceeding customer expectations.

This only shows how Pizza Hut continuously invests in its people’s development not only in customer service but in all aspects of their work, resulting in a great workplace, motivated employees, happy and satisfied customers.”
This year, the RCC gathered more than 250 delegates from 14 member countries of YRI!’s Asia Franchise Business Units (AFBU) to compete for excellent execution in customer service, product quality, speed of service, management and customer mania. The Philippines bested Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore and was awarded the Customer Mania Award for their over-all outstanding execution in all areas in the Regional Champs Challenge.
Showcasing the team’s excellence in multiple areas, Pizza Hut Philippines notched four individual awards, including Best Manager by Lady Joy Campos, Best Production Team by Tomas Pulido Jr. (Make) and Erica Castañeda (Cut), Best Customer Service Team by Von Ryan Eddun and Mark Joseph Villanueva, and Best Host by Exceniza Pineda.
Due to its exceptional teamwork, the Pizza Hut Philippines team was also awarded best in Executional Excellence in three areas: Best Hospitality Execution, Best Speed of Service, and Best Over-all Execution.
The Pizza Hut Philippines team, consisting of manager Campos, customer service representatives Eddun and Villanueva, production team members Pulido Jr. and Erica Castaňeda, host Pineda and reserve player Johara Rose Gonzales, were recognized during the RCC Gala and Awards Night Ceremony at Novotel Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City.

Pizza Hut Philippines has an excellent association with the Regional Champs Challenge. Over the years, the company has been supportive of this competition and sends delegates to compete every year. This is the second time that the Philippines hosted this event. Back in 2010, the competition was held at the SM Megamall restaurant, wherein the Philippines also bagged 8 out of 9 awards including Best in Over-all Execution, Executional Excellence in Hospitality, Executional Excellence in Speed, Service Imperative Award, and Best Floor Manager, among others.
