ASEAN business conglomerate SCG continues its 100th year anniversary celebrations as it once again joins Worldbex, Asia’s largest building and construction exposition on March 12 to 16 to showcase its innovative products and systems.
With the theme “SCG Living Showcase,” SCG and its subsidiaries COTTO and Mariwasa shows Filipinos that building their dream home is possible with the world-class, durable and stylish products featured in Worldbex 2014. These products are the fruits of SCG’s USD 67 million investment in R&D for 2013, which establishes SCG as an ASEAN sustainable innovative leader.
Various activities were conducted in the booths to show how these building materials can be suitable in anyone’s house.
Activities include live demos of different SCG materials to show their different features, and a mix-and-match interactive zone to give guests the opportunity to create different designs using Mariwasa tiles. Through these, SCG shows how easy it is to transform a home with these products. This will also inspire homeowners and developers by giving them ideas for their own projects.
Among the products showcased are the SCG Smartboard, a water and termite-resistant fiber-cement board made with Firm & Flex technology for durability and flexibility, and the SCG Smartwood, a fiber-cement wood substitute with Color-loc technology to ensure enduring quality and design. The SCG Smartboard can be used for different ceiling, wall, and flooring applications. This is also perfect for the Filipino home since it will withstand the country’s wet weather conditions. The product also has a ventilated drill variety which keeps homes cool during the summer. The SCG Smartwood is also ideal for Filipino homes as it does not shrink, warp, or bend compared to ordinary wood.
COTTO brings a latest world-class resort feel into Filipino homes with its CONVENIC Toilet Seat and Cover Model C9200. This groundbreaking toilet seat and cover is made from the latest technology that comes with a wide array of functions that addresses the different comfort needs of people. The C9200 comes with a remote that controls the different functionalities such as the moving oscillating wash, heated seat, and the deodorization system. The model also comes with special nozzles that are anti-microbial, ensuring proper cleanliness and hygiene.
Mariwasa brings a Style-Vention into Filipino homes with its latest collection of original and beautifully designed tiles. The Style-Vention collection comes in three series that caters to different tastes. The Fresh Series is designed to calm the senses as it gives off a soothing ambiance. The Finesse Series showcases a variety of classic tile designs while the Fusion Series has a unique style as it integrates different elements into its tiles. Mariwasa will also be launching its own tile adhesive and tile grout, which completes the brands’ ceramic tile showcase.
