The Philippines’ Department of Tourism (DOT) announced today that the Philippines is, once again, Asia’s leading beach destination and Asia’s leading dive destination at the 28th World Travel Awards (WTA).

“We are elated that the country’s pristine beaches and mesmerizing dive spots have once again been cited as the best in Asia by the prestigious 2021 World Travel Awards. We share this recognition with our tourism stakeholders, local government units, partner agencies, and all Filipinos who have been helping us promote our country’s attractions, products, and culture,” said Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat.

The WTA aims to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.

“This will boost our efforts to keep the Philippines as a top-of-mind destination for foreign tourists as we await the resumption of international leisure travel to the country, consistent with our “More Fun Awaits” global campaign,” said Puyat..

Some of the country’s top beach destinations, such as Boracay in Aklan, Siargao in Surigao del Norte, and El Nido and Amanpulo in Palawan, have already opened to domestic tourists and are ready to welcome foreign tourists once international borders reopen.

Moreover, the PDOT has developed many of the country’s beach destinations, as well as new and existing dive circuits and is constantly identifying potential destinations that may be developed for dive tourism. Top diving spots in the country include the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park in Palawan, Anilao in Batangas, Malapascua and Moalboal in Cebu, Balicasag, Panglao and Anda in Bohol, and Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro.

SEAOIL Lifetime Free Gas promo returns for its third year

SEAOIL, the leading independent fuel provider in the Philippines, will be giving away a lifetime supply of free gas to 4 lucky motorists starting this July. The “Lifetime Free Gas, Oh My Gas!” promo, which continues to be the only one of its kind in the world, makes a comeback on its third year.

“Following our success from the past two years of the lifetime free gas promo, we want to continue this giveaway to thank our loyal customers for their continued patronage of SEAOIL. The response has been overwhelming, and we are more than happy to return with it once again,” said SEAOIL CEO Glenn Yu.
SEAOIL customers can also expect to win over 100,000 instant prizes through peel-off cards. A total of half a million worth of SEAOIL gift cards will be raffled off in monthly draws.
The winners of the promo from the past two years came from different walks of life. Last year’s winners include Michael Sulit of Caloocan City, a SEAOIL user since buying his own car, is the youngest winner at 24 years old and the “bunso” in the family. He uses his free fuel for field work and trips with family and friends and shares it with his siblings who have families of their own.
Ernie Linarez is a TNVS operator and driver from Rizal. His monthly fuel savings help pay for his car loan. He is a SEAOIL Believer for years, and his trust and support for the brand paid off when he was drawn as last year’s first winner.
Joel Dinque, an entrepreneur from North Cotabato is able to provide more for his family, thanks to his fuel savings. As an owner of an auto repair shop, he endorses SEAOIL to his customers because he is a firm believer of their products.
Jidy Detuya, a jeepney driver from Agusan del Norte, shares that it was one of his kids who convinced him to gas up at SEAOIL and try his luck at winning free gas. He was skeptical of SEAOIL’s fuels at first but now he endorses it to his relatives and fellow churchgoers.
To qualify, a customer must gas up at least P500 worth of Extreme 97, Extreme 95, Extreme U, Extreme Diesel fuels and/or SEAOIL Lubricants at any SEAOIL station nationwide. Customers can double their chances of winning if they register at www.lifetimefreegas.com.
The “Oh My Gas!” promo runs from July 18 to October 18, 2019. Winners of this year’s promo will be determined via electronic monthly draws in August, September, and November, and a dropbox raffle draw in November.

Singapore Tourism Board kicks off second wave of Passion Made Possible campaign with the SINGapore Karaoke Booth

Singapore Tourism Board (STB) reinforces its passion-driven campaign as it rolls out the SINGapore Karaoke booth — tapping into Filipinos’ innate love for singing; particularly karaoke. The KTV booth, which allows participants to score a trip to Singapore simply by singing their hearts out, runs from October 19 to 21 at the Cortes De Las Palmas in Alabang Town Center.

Tapping on the Filipinos’ well-known passion for music, the SINGapore Karaoke booth is rolled out in the Philippines first, before popping up in other markets around the world. Over the next few days, Pinoy music-lovers will come together to enjoy a weekend full of entertainment, prizes, and surprises.
The SINGapore Karaoke is the first of many upcoming consumer activities targeting the Philippine market, as STB unveils the second wave of its “Passion Made Possible” brand campaign in the country. The campaign was first launched in Singapore in August 2017, positioning Singapore as a bustling haven where its visitors can discover new possibilities and pursue their passions. Four passion tribes were introduced, namely: Foodie, Explorer, Collector and Progressor. Please see Annex for more information on these tribes.

44410748_562076257570043_2689826382694842368_n

For its second wave, the campaign is shining the spotlight on the Socialiser, Action Seeker, and Culture Shaper passion tribes. And the specially-designed SINGapore Karaoke Booth is its springboard for the launch of the Socialiser tribe, focusing on those who enjoy the energy of the nightlife and entertainment scene, and build meaningful connections through music and entertainment.

At the SINGapore Karaoke booth, visitors sing their hearts out to songs from both local and international artistes who have performed or will be performing in Singapore, to earn raffle entries for the grand prize – a free trip for two to the Lion City. A surprise bonus prize is also up for grabs: a pair of concert tickets to the 2019 Formula One Singapore Grand Prix, which has become the place to catch the world’s top music performers over the years. Past entertainment acts at the world’s first night race include Coldplay, Bon Jovi, Dua Lipa, The Chainsmokers, and Pharrell Williams, to name a few.

Local multi-talented performers like Up Dharma Down, Donny and Hannah Pangilinan, Dane Hipolito and Kali Vidanes, will also visit the three-day SINGapore Karaoke booth. Each of them will have a go at the Karaoke booth and serenade fans with their own songs.

44471469_2201598913462909_8216833553250385920_n

The SINGapore Karaoke is designed to offer Filipinos a glimpse of Singapore’s exciting world-class music and live entertainment scene, and will give a lucky winner the chance to experience these first-hand in the Lion City. “From the coolest indie gigs and the biggest international concerts, to eclectic music festivals, raves and jazz nights, Singapore has a diverse and vibrant music and entertainment scene that caters to every music lover. Fundamentally, music connects people, and I think Filipinos, being amongst the most social people, know this well. We therefore would like to invite our Filipino visitors to come make new friends or re-connect with old ones through the myriad of nightlife and entertainment offerings in Singapore,” said Lynette Pang, Assistant Chief Executive of Marketing Group at the Singapore Tourism Board.

While concert-goers, festival folks and ravers are sure to have the time of their lives with the range of different events to choose from, musicians themselves can also deepen their passions and be inspired by the local artistes and fellow Filipino talents who have also stepped on Singapore stages.
The Lion City will end a stellar year full of amazing music acts and awesome upcoming events, with the Neon Lights Festival in November and concerts from the world’s biggest names like Charlie Puth, Khalid, Mariah Carey and The Weeknd from November to December.
