Dr. Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D. is the executive director and CEO of the Natural Products Association in the USA, the largest trade group in North America for natural nutritional-supplement companies, which handles advocacy, education, and communication. It touches base with industry practitioners, suppliers, retailers and consumers. He also served as Director of the Division of Dietary Supplement Programs at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
With his vast expertise and experience in the industry, Dr. Daniel Fabricant can further explain the manufacturing process and best practices in the natural products industry. Ultimately, this valuable seminar will teach participants what supplements they should be taking, how to choose supplements properly, and so on.
Dr. Daniel Fabricant obtained a doctorate degree in pharmacognosy — the study of drugs derived from plants and animals — from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he has been an adjunct professor since 2009. He has written numerous peer-reviewed articles for scientific journals. He served as senior vice president in the Natural Products Association (NPA), then left to work for the federal government as a director in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Division of Dietary Supplements program. He was recently installed as CEO of the Natural Products Association.
